Use a borough, zone or station
“London” is too broad for a useful same-night search. A meeting across several zones may look close in miles and still take most of an evening.
Central London
A station both people know is a sensible first meeting point. Central London may be convenient, but neither person should assume the other has somewhere private nearby.
North and east
Hackney, Islington, Dalston and neighbouring areas are better described by district or station. A specific location makes travel expectations clear before you start planning.
South, west and outer London
Check the actual route instead of relying on distance. Crossing London or travelling in from an outer borough may require several changes and a strict last-train time.
Say where you can meet
- Use a borough, postcode area or nearby station.
- Say whether you are local or visiting.
- State how far you will travel and whether you can host.
- Check recent activity and read the profile before messaging.
- Review nearby results before paying for more access.
Plan around the journey home
Night Tube and late rail service vary by line and day. Check the current route before leaving, meet publicly first and do not depend on a stranger for accommodation or transportation.
Protect the details that identify you
A nickname and separate email are enough to begin. Keep your employer, surname, flat address and regular commute private until trust develops.
Before meeting
- Confirm that everyone is 18 or older.
- Choose a busy first meeting place.
- Tell someone where you are going.
- Arrange your own trip home and use protection.
- Leave if the person or circumstances are not what you agreed to.
