Be precise about which part of Dublin
“Dublin” can mean the compact centre or a suburb that requires a long bus, Luas or taxi trip. A useful profile names the general area without publishing a home address.
City centre and Docklands
Central hotels, cafés and bars make a public first meeting easier. The Docklands extend east of the traditional centre, so confirm the nearest landmark or stop rather than assuming everything is a short walk.
South side
Rathmines, Ranelagh and nearby districts are relatively close to town, while suburbs farther south can involve a different transport plan. Say whether you are near Luas, DART or a bus route.
North side and coastal areas
North Dublin covers a wide range of neighbourhoods, and coastal locations can depend on DART times. Do not use “near the centre” unless the journey really works late at night.
