A broad Houston search can pair people who are technically in the same city but have no practical way to meet. Start with the side of town you are already on.
Montrose, Midtown and the Inner Loop
These areas have many neutral public meeting choices. They can work as a middle ground, but only if both people are already within a reasonable drive.
Uptown and the Galleria area
West-side users may prefer staying nearby rather than driving across the city late. Name the area instead of assuming “central Houston” means the same thing to everyone.
Suburbs and outer areas
Katy, Sugar Land, The Woodlands, Baytown and other outer areas require separate planning. Set the real location and say how many miles you are prepared to drive.

Agree on the drive before the meeting
Traffic changes quickly, and a late drive home can be much longer than expected. Choose a public location convenient to both people, drive separately, and do not let a tentative plan depend on one person providing transportation.
Keep home and work out of the first chat
Use a separate email and avoid photos containing a licence plate, employer badge or recognizable home exterior. Share an exact address only after the person and plan have been verified.

- Meet in a busy public place first.
- Tell someone where you are going.
- Keep control of your transportation and use protection.
